1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern your use of lindenair.com and any products, pre-orders, services, or communications offered by Threadcraft Labs ("Threadcraft", "we", "our"). By using the site or placing a pre-order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or place a pre-order.
2. Who we are
Threadcraft Labs is a craft-forward smart-home product company based in Wisconsin, United States. You can reach us at joey@threadcraftlabs.com. Our parent site is threadcraftlabs.com; lindenair.com is the product site for Linden, our first product.
3. Use of the site
You may browse, read, and share lindenair.com freely. You may not scrape it at scale, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it to send unsolicited communications. We reserve the right to restrict access if the site is being misused.
4. Communications and email list
If you sign up for product updates or place a pre-order, we will email you with progress updates, certification milestones, shipping information, and occasional product news. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping notices, balance-charge confirmations) cannot be unsubscribed because they're required to fulfill your pre-order.
We do not sell your email address or share it with third parties for marketing. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
5. Pre-orders
Pre-orders for Linden ("Reservations") are governed by the deposit + balance pattern described at the time of reservation and summarized here:
- Deposit: charged at reservation via Stripe. Refundable any time before manufacturing kickoff for your unit.
- Balance: the remainder of the unit price, charged when your unit is ready to ship. We will email you 5 days before charging.
- Estimated ship date: communicated at the time of reservation. The pre-order window opens only after field validation of the production specification is complete.
- Refund policy: If we cannot ship within 30 days of the estimated ship date, we will notify you in writing and offer the option to consent to the new date or receive a full refund of your deposit, in compliance with the FTC Mail Order Rule (16 CFR Part 435). Once manufacturing has begun for your unit, the deposit is no longer refundable, but you may decline the balance charge and only forfeit the deposit.
- Reservation priority: Reservations are filled in order received within the relevant production run.
- Cancellation by Threadcraft Labs: If we cannot fulfill your reservation due to circumstances beyond our control (supply chain, certification denial, etc.), we will refund your deposit in full and notify you within 30 days of the determination.
Pre-orders are a commitment to a future product. Final product specifications may evolve between today and ship date. We will notify you in writing of any material change to specifications, and you may request a deposit refund if the change is material to your decision to reserve.
6. Warranty
Linden ships with a limited warranty per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.). The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover:
- Normal wear, including HEPA filter replacement
- Accidental damage, including liquid damage, drops, or impacts
- Damage caused by misuse, modification, unauthorized repair, or use outside the documented operating environment
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect function
Full warranty terms — including the warranty period — will be included with your unit at delivery and posted on lindenair.com prior to first ship. Warranty service is provided by Threadcraft Labs in Wisconsin; international warranty service is not currently offered.
7. Repair and parts
Linden is designed for repairability. We commit to providing replacement filters, parts, tools, and service documentation for at least seven (7) years from the date of first sale, in compliance with right-to-repair frameworks including California SB 244 and the New York Digital Fair Repair Act. Specific parts pricing and availability will be published at lindenair.com.
8. Country of origin
Linden is designed and assembled in Wisconsin from U.S. and imported components. Threadcraft Labs does not claim "Made in USA" or "American made." The acceptable origin language used on this site is "Designed and assembled in Wisconsin."
9. Intellectual property
The lindenair.com site, photography, copy, brand identity, and software are owned by Threadcraft Labs. You may not reproduce them without permission. The Linden firmware contains open-source software including the Linux kernel and other GPL/LGPL components; we publish our build configuration and provide a written offer for source as required by those licenses. Source-offer details will be included in product documentation.
10. Disclaimers
Linden is a consumer-grade air quality monitor and HEPA air purifier. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease or condition. Sensor readings are accurate within the tolerances published in the product specifications and are intended for awareness, not for professional or regulated air-quality measurement. Marketing language for Linden uses descriptive verbs (captures, removes, filters, monitors) and avoids curative claims, in compliance with FDA and EPA jurisdictional rules.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Threadcraft Labs' liability for any product, pre-order, or service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product or pre-order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by applicable law. This section does not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our business evolves or as required by law. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. If you have an active pre-order, we will email you about any material change that affects your reservation.
